Franklin County was a pioneer in animal composting. We began operating this facility on January 25, 2016. At that time, it was only the 4th such complex in the state and the 2nd county-operated composting site. Over the years, it has saved the county thousands of dollars in landfill disposal fees.

Bulk compost is available to purchase directly through the County. The cost is $65/CY.

Thursday Pickup/Workplace Delivery Customers:
Ordering opens Mondays at noon.
Ordering closes at 5:00pm on Tuesdays.
Thursday pick-up customers need to pickup their orders between 9:30am and 10:00am on Thursday mornings.
Saturday Pickup Customers:
Ordering opens Mondays at noon.
Ordering closes at 5:00pm on Thursdays.
Saturday pick-up customers need to pickup their orders between 8:30am and noon on Saturday mornings.
