Hello fellow Franklin County Citizen,

I want to thank you for your interest in serving on one of our many boards or commissions. Volunteering for service to your County can be extremely gratifying while also making a personal contribution to improving Franklin County. These boards and commissions play a vital role in our community.

I want to take this opportunity to share with you how the appointment process works in Franklin County once we receive your application for an appointment. My staff will keep a record of your application on file indicating your boards or commissions of interest. As openings occur, my office will review the application file and identify potential candidates. We may contact those candidates to further evaluate their backgrounds, interests, and abilities. I will then make a recommendation to the Fiscal Court for approval. This process is ongoing throughout the year as vacancies arise.

Once again, I want to commend you for your interest in serving our County. Our community is strengthened by citizens, like yourself, who are willing to be an active part of the governing process.  Working together we can build a vibrant community and ensure a positive future for generations to come.
