FRANKLIN COUNTY FISCAL COURT
BUDGET HEARING
REGARDING PROPOSED USE OF COUNTY ROAD AID (CRA)
AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE (LGEA) FUNDS
MAY 27, 2026 4:30 P.M.
A public hearing will be held by Franklin County at Franklin County Fiscal Court on May 27, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. for the purpose of obtaining citizens comments regarding the possible uses of the 2026-2027 CRA and LGEA Funds.
The primary location of the VTC will be at 321 West Main Street, Frankfort where all members of fiscal court can be seen and heard on television screens. The public hearing will broadcast live on Facebook: www.facebook.com/fcfcky and/or YouTube: www.tinyurl.com/fcfcky.
All interested persons in Franklin County are invited to submit verbal or written comments on possible uses of the CRA and LGEA Funds. Any person(s) who cannot sub¬mit written comments or attend the public hearing but wish to submit comments, should call the Office of the County Judge/Executive at (502) 875-8751 or email andrew.tippett@franklincounty.ky.gov by 4:00 p.m. on May 27, 2026 so arrangements can be made to secure their comments.
- Franklin County anticipates the receipt of CRA Funds for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 to be approximately $759,000 which amount will be used for the construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of county roads;
- Franklin County anticipates the receipt of LGEA Funds for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 to be approximately $130,000. Proposed uses for these receipts as well as unused receipts from previous years include Tractor and Single Axle Dumptruck.
- A summary of projects and a summary of the entire budget for all income and expenditures of the recipient government will be available for public inspection in the Office of the Franklin County Judge/Executive.
