Hey 1976 - we want you back so....dust off those bell bottoms! Grab your guitar!! Warm up your pipes! Get ready to turn the clock back to 1976!
The Franklin County Fiscal Court in collaboration with The Grand Theater, is looking for bands, solo performers or musical duos to take the stage for a benefit concert celebrating the music of 1976.
Think disco, rock, country , pop R&B, soul and all the songs that had everyone else singing along 50 years ago. We want to hear you bring the sounds and the swagger of 1976 back.
Ready for your audition? To be eligible, at least one member of your act must be a current resident of Franklin County. Musicians may only take part in one act chosen to perform to allow more local groups to be part of this event.
Come prepared with a list of eight songs released in 1976 and choose one of those to perform for your audition.
Auditions will start at 1 pm on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Lakeview Park's Hancock Pavilion. A panel of judges will have the toughest job of all - deciding which talented performers will make the lineup for the November 20, 2026 concert at The Grand Theatre. So whether your sound is rockin', groovin', twangin' or bangin', start getting your material together today.
Let's bring 1976 back in spectacular fashion, with local musicians at the heart of a wonderful evening that will benefit the construction of an accessible playground at Lakeview Park.
