2019 PROPOSED TAX RATE
PUBLIC HEARING
The Franklin County Fiscal Court will hold a public hearing on August 26, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Franklin County Fiscal Court Conference Room located in the Office of the County Judge/Executive, 321 West Main Street, for the purpose of obtaining comments from the public regarding the proposed tax rate.
The tax rate levied last year was 18.7 cents per $100 and produced revenues in the amount of $5,824,747. This year’s compensating rate is 18.4 cents per $100 and will produce revenues in the amount of $5,944,539. The Franklin County Fiscal Court proposes a tax rate of 18.70 cents per $100 which will produce a total of $6,041,461 in revenues.
Revenue expected from New Property is $104,103; revenue expected from Personal Property is $1,028,004; revenue expected from Motor Vehicle is $637,056; and revenue expected from Watercraft is $14,706.
Revenue received in excess of last year’s revenue will be used for County employee retirement benefits.
The Kentucky General Assembly requires that the Franklin County Fiscal Court publish this notice with the above information contained herein.
