The inaugural Franklin County Military & First Responder Family Appreciation Day at Lakeview Park was a major success despite today’s rainy weather. The event featured free food, games and information. Multiple door prizes were given away to adults and children in attendance. Judge Wells deeply appreciates our military personnel and first responders both active and retired as well as their families. We thank them for their service and sacrifices to our community and nation. They are truly the backbone of our society. This event was just a small way for us to show our gratitude to our service members and first responders.
During the welcome ceremony at the beginning of the day Judge Wells and Frankfort Mayor Layne issued a joint proclamation naming today “Military and First Responder Appreciation Day” in Frankfort and Franklin County.
