Scotty Tracy has served as Fourth District Magistrate on the Franklin County Fiscal Court for nine and half years. However, effective April 30th, 2024, he has stepped down from the seat and has accepted a position within Governor Beshear’s administration at the Public Protection Cabinet as of May 1, 2024.
“I am proud of the accomplishments of the Franklin County Fiscal Court, finding ways to better our community while being fiscally responsible and financially sound, I’m honored to have served side by side with some of the finest public servants in this community on the Court and I have nothing but praise for the dedicated and hardworking County staff,” Tracy explained.
In Tracy’s nine and a half years on the Court, there have been many advancements like salary increases for staff, US 127 North repaving after years of deterioration, the reconstruction of Steele Branch Boat Ramp, the Franklin County Road Department facilities getting a long overdue upgrade, the Lakeview Park project is well underway and will be transformational for our community, working towards the creation of a sports commission and reliable broadband access will be a reality for areas of Franklin County that have been both unserved and underserved.
Tracy further stated, “As I start this new chapter of public service, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to serve you, my neighbors, first.”
Judge Michael Mueller stated “Having served with Scotty on the Fiscal Court in my previous role as magistrate and now as Judge/Executive, I understand and respect not only his service to our community but the commitment to his constituents. We wish him all the best in his new role with Team Kentucky and the Beshear administration.”
