The Fiscal Court is set to vote on the proposed goals and policies for the Frankfort/Franklin County Comprehensive Plan at its next meeting. This meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, at 5 PM. The goals and policies document has been in progress since August of last year. At that time the first draft of the goals and policies for the plan were provided to the Advisory Committee for review and feedback. A second draft of the goals and policies was provided to the Advisory Committee in February of this year. Comments from both rounds of review have been incorporated into the following updated set of goals and policies.
The goals and policies are organized under the major themes of the plan: Identity and Character, Natural and Cultural Resources, Growth and Development, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Community Facilities.
We encourage our citizens to review this document and provide feedback to the court.
