Lexington Materials Recovery Facility is now accepting paperboard (also known as boxboard), with the exception of those that have a waxy coating – such as soda and beer boxes, as well as boxes from any food items meant for the fridge or freezer. These paperboard items can be placed in your curbside recycling bin for pickup with Central Kentucky Hauling. Refer to the graphic below for what else is currently accepted in our recycling program.
