The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office held its annual fishing derby this morning at the Game Farm Pond. Area children were paired up with mentors, including Sheriff’s Deputies, for a time of fun and festivities. The purpose of this event was to learn more about fishing and building relationships with local law enforcement. This was the third fishing derby held by the FCSO. It started in 2021 to help law enforcement bond with the younger generation of our community and develop stronger relationships.
