Road Supervisor
Salary Range: $29.37- $50.62 per hour/40hr work week
Franklin County Government is seeking qualified applicants for Road Supervisor.
Duties include: Serves as Road Supervisor pursuant to KRS 179.020. Prepares yearly budget and recommends ways and means for the proper expenditure of funds. Estimate the type and amount of maintenance and construction materials needed for projects. Plan, organize, and supervise activities related to the construction and maintenance of county roads. Investigate and respond to public complaints. Inspect existing roads and determine maintenance and report needs and improvements. Maintains roads, and bridges, and deals with drainage issues.
Minimum qualifications: High school graduate or GED. Possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license and obtain Class A CDL within 12 months of hire. Must have road experience and operating equipment. Ability to read engineering plans and understand specifications for the construction and maintenance of roadways and bridges. Be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays for special projects or emergencies.
