FRANKLIN COUNTY AND WOODFORD COUNTY FISCAL COURTS ARE WORKING TOGETHER ON IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED FOR MCCRACKEN PIKE (GLENNS CREEK ROAD)
Franklin County Judge/Executive Michael Mueller along with Squire J.W. Blackburn, 2nd District Magistrate of Franklin County Fiscal Court met Monday, March 20, 2023, with Woodford County Judge/Executive James Kay and Squire John Gentry, 2nd District Magistrate of the Woodford County Fiscal Court to announce that road improvement work will soon be underway to reopen McCracken Pike (Glenns Creek Road/River Road) by the end of summer 2023. This scenic stretch of road is a main artery to local distilleries, motorcyclists, bicyclists and for others who live in the area.

I want to personally thank Judge James Kay and the Woodford County Fiscal Court along with Secretary Jim Gray and Deputy Secretary Mike Hancock of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet as well as Governor Andy Beshear for their vision and willingness to work together to bring this project to fruition.”
