Governor Andy Beshear has appointed Mike Harrod to the 4th District Magisterial seat effective May 1, 2024. Mr. Harrod began his career in the United States Army and served from 1987 through 1991 and is also a Gulf War Veteran. He then returned to Frankfort and worked for Bendix Corporation for eleven years until he joined the Franklin County Fire Department where he served for 20 years as a public servant. Harrod was Vice President and later became the president of the Local 3952 professional firefighters’ union.
“I am a firm believer in doing the best job possible to have a positive impact on others. With that said, I will make conscientious decisions on anything that is brought in front of the court and myself.” Mr. Harrod stated.
Harrod currently owns Harrod’s Lawn and Landscape in Frankfort and has been in business for 33 years. Mike Harrod is married to Stacy Harrod and they have five children, Jimmy Harrod, Taylor Harrod, Emma Perkins, Lucy Perkins, and Alex Perkins
