A brand-new grapple truck was delivered this afternoon to the Franklin County Road Department. The purchase was made possible using a $146,000 grant from the Division of Waste Management’s Kentucky Pride Fund. These funds covered the loader and body of the truck. It will be used to support the county composting facility via residential yard waste pick up and fallen livestock pickup.

This new piece of equipment will help our employees work more efficiently in their duties, which will save the county time and money. We thank Solid Waste Coordinator Ally Hall and Grants Administrator Tammy West for their hard work in obtaining this grant which made this purchase possible.
