Bicycle tour scheduled for Central Kentucky
The 6th Annual Bourbon Burn September 29 through October 1
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 25, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled bicycle ride for Central Kentucky. Over 800 cyclists from across the country will participate in the 6th annual Bourbon Burn. The three-day event includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Cyclists will be on the road in the following locations:
Friday, Sept. 29 – Paris, Bourbon County and Winchester, Clark County
Saturday, Sept. 30 – Frankfort, Franklin County, Georgetown and Stamping Ground, Scott County and Midway, Woodford County
Sunday, Oct. 1 – Midway and Versailles, Woodford County
Under Kentucky law, bicycles are considered vehicles. Cyclists have the same rights and responsibilities as motorists. Motorists are required by Kentucky law to give cyclists three feet when passing in a vehicle. Please share the road safely with bicycles.
