The 2026 Fallen Firefighter Memorial was held this morning at Juniper Hill Park. Michael Mueller, Franklin County Judge Executive & Mayor Layne Wilkerson served as guest speakers at the event. Jaron Rucker was the keynote speaker for the memorial. The Franklin County Fire Department and City of Frankfort Fire & EMS helped serve as hosts for the service. This year, 10 firefighters were recognized for their ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
