Franklin County Solid Waste and the Franklin County Road Department will be hosting another county compost giveaway event on 5/10 from 8-12 and Lakeview Park: 112 Park Ave. The compost giveaway will take place near the softball fields.
Supplies may be limited: first come, first served. Compost is composed of fallen livestock in the county, as well as chipped residential yard waste. This product was tested for heavy metals. Participants are required to sign a waiver at the event.
Each resident is permitted 5 bags of compost or one truckload/scoop per residence.
We encourage compost recipients from the 3/29 giveaway to create space for residents who didn’t get compost by forgoing this event. We appreciate all the community support!
