The Franklin County Professional Firefighters are doing a can drive for the benefit for the Capital City Senior  Center . They have collected and delivered can goods to the Center today and they will continue their can drive for the remainder of 2021.

The Capital City Activity Center makes roughly 200 deliveries per day to seniors’ homes. They help with meals and will be resuming in-person activities and restaurant-style meals at their Medical Heights location soon. They are always accepting donations and volunteers to help make deliveries. We are excited and humbled to contribute to the work they’re doing.

Beginning June 26th, Franklin County fire stations will be accepting canned goods and nonperishable items from the public on the last Saturday of each month, so they may regularly contribute to the Senior Center. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to give back to those in our community who have given so much over the course of their lives.

If you would like to contribute in some way to the Capital City Activity Center, they are so appreciative of any help and will gladly point you in the direction they need.
