Paper Recycling is returning to Franklin County !

Starting next week, residents will be able to recycle paper at one of two collection sites within the county. There will be a collection site at the Riverbend Rd complex (where the Sheriff and Fire Station are), and one at the City’s Recycle Center on Rouse Avenue.

Mixed office paper, junk mail, newspaper, magazines, and catalogs are the only items accepted in these bins. Please, no shredded paper, brown paper, trash, or any other nonaccepted item in these bins.

The goal of this collection service is to provide a clean, uncontaminated product to Lexington’s Recycle Facility – which is difficult to do in your curbside bin.

If paper drop off is something you are unable to do, please continue to place your paper in your trash can.

Call Brittany at 502-875-8751 with any questions.
