PART-TIME BUILDING INSPECTOR
$25.00 per hour
Franklin County Government is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Building Inspector. Duties include: Reviews building plans for compliance with Kentucky Residential Code and Building Code. Issue permits and certificates of occupancy. Inspect construction projects. Assists citizens with questions and concerns regarding building issues. Qualifications include: High school diploma or GED. Must possess a Kentucky driver’s license. Five years of current experience in the construction field or five years of experience in the office of an Architect, Engineer, or undergraduate degree in a related field will substitute for qualification on a year-for-year basis. Must possess the Kentucky I &II family dwelling or level I Building Inspector certification. Applications will be taken until the position is filled.
