Sunday sales of alcoholic beverages in Franklin County will be extended one hour on December 31, 2023. Normally, alcoholic beverage sales on Sundays in the county must end at 11:59 PM. However, due to the holiday, county ordinance § 111.16, subsection (B) allows for an extra hour of sales until 12:59 PM on Monday, January 1st, 2024.
This ordinance only applies to businesses operating in Franklin County outside the incorporated area of Frankfort. Businesses operating within the City of Frankfort limits will need to consult their regulations regarding Sunday alcoholic beverage sales on New Year’s Eve.
