AN UPDATE FROM ROAD SUPERINTENDENT JON MITCHELL:

Additional snow this morning means that roads that were cleared overnight are now snow covered again. Crews continue to work salting and scraping their routes; however, roads are still very slick right now. He asks that everyone avoid any unnecessary travel.

Judge Wells wants to thank our road crew for their hard work over the past week as the county has experienced back-to-back winter storms. He also wants to express his gratitude to our maintenance department led by Director Jeremy Colston and the Franklin County Regional Jail for helping to clear county owned parking lots and sidewalks.

Additionally, he appreciates our community’s willingness to pitch in together to help combat this wild winter weather. Judge Wells also asks that everyone use extreme caution on the road if travel is unavoidable. He wishes everyone a warm and safe day.
