How do the scheduled upgrades to Lexington Material Recovery Facility affect Franklin County residents?
The Lexington Recycling Center will be shut down for improvements from January 6 through January 19, 2020.
Central Kentucky Hauling and the Recycling Center do not have the ability to store recyclables while the improvements are made to the facility. CKY Hauling asks that all customers hold their recycling for collection the week of January 20.
For customers that cannot store their recycling materials, CKY will continue to run regular routes during this shutdown period, but the materials collected will be taken to the landfill.
